Interaction, Integration and Harmony between Human and Nature

The human society should coordinate with the natural species’ evolution, and eventually make a city where human beings and nature could live in harmony. The theory that man is an integral part of nature is the essence of “Landscape City” or “Garden City”. Human cannot keep obtaining from the nature without any restrictions. Nowadays, China’s urbanization is increasingly speeding up, leaving less and less spaces for nature. How to construct a healthy city becomes what SED has been seeking after. We advocate respecting nature, planning scientifically and reasonably, raising land use efficiency, resolving conflicts between urbanization and natural conservation, learning from the internationally successful experiences and achieving a higher level in urban landscape construction.
