Lung Tsun stone Bridge, HKSAR

Lung Tsun Stone was buried under the Kai Tak Airport during the time of land reclamation. As the city develops, the bridge’s ancient site reappears and is planned to be an open public space, making it the hub of Kowloon City Old District and Kai Tak New Development Area. The design is inspired by the development evolution of the bridge itself and the areas around it. Modern and traditional livings are well organized by making appropriate use of the landform and level differences. Combined with cultural elements, the project is going to showcase the diversity of life in Hong Kong. Openness and share ability are taken top priorities in the concept in order to maximize the activity space for the users. Enjoyments are digged out from the local texture and connotation, hoping to construct an interestingly attractive, open and easily-accessed environment.
